I wish you all the very best for 2023. Since you have found this blog, you will know that we now have a new website and are able to deliver fresh posies all year round! If you have arrived on this page first, please check out the rest of the website starting with About Posies and Poems.
I can assure you that I (Debbie, owner of Posies and Poems) am still the main person doing all the seeding, growing, and designing of our products. I will have help, as I did last year, with planting and harvesting.
My goal with the website is to reach more customers by:
- Giving our customers the convenience of online shopping.
- Boosting our product offering with one-of-a-kind wreaths and dried posies made with our own dried flowers, herbs etc. and designed by me!
- Offering you fresh posies (bouquets) with poems (messages based on the language of flowers) ALL YEAR ROUND! This is new and as a result of your requests for fresh bouquets out of season. I will do my best to source the flowers from local suppliers (Ontario if possible). I will still grow, use and dry our own flowers for fresh posies in season (May to October) and dried posies and wreaths all year round.
- Last but not least, I want to share with you the knowledge that I have collected since I started growing herbs and flowers in my 20s. I am 60 now and proud of it! I am a trained herbalist, horticulturalist and floral designer. I hope to publish this blog post most weeks to give you snippets of information on the language of flowers, the healing properties of herbs and shrubs and how you can also create your own beautiful arrangements.
